Fashion jammiez X The crab jawn

Pop up shop

November 7th Tiffany Hall owner of @Fashionjammiez and Dominique Holmes owner of @thecrabjawn hosted a pop up shop.  With 5 vendors not including the host. As I pull up to the event on this lovely day I noticed the beautiful decorations on the outside of the venue. 2 vendors are set up out side 5 inside. Selling a variety  of things from handmade skin and hair care products, To exotic liquor drinks, and pajamas. Host Dominique Holmes and husband Jaquil Scott are the owners Of the venue which they are turning into a rent out space for all different occasions.

The event was located in the west Philadelphia region of the city. It’s was their first pop up shop ever there were only a few vendors but each an every one came out successful at the end of it. Dominique an Tiffany are young entrepreneurs 26 years of age and have been friends almost 20 years strong. I asked em both what made you guys want to throw a pop up show together this was actually the first pop up shop or networking event that I went to with 2 host. They stated that they wanted to throw a pop up shot because they’re aware of how useful and helpful it could be for their business. So they are using it as another promotional method to gain business exposure. Tiffany hall owner of fashion jammies is already use to these event having attend a few before but never hosting her own until the 7th. This is a first for Dominique Holmes owner of the crab jawn but it’s not the last she enjoy her first experience of a pop up shop selling out of all the food she had prepare for it. These 2 are hosting another event November 14th because they were not able to include everyone who wanted to be involved in the first one.

A little bit about Dominique Holmes. She is a 26 year old entrepreneur married  with 2 children. She’s been a entrepreneur since 2015 the first business she started was making extraordinary decorative cakes. When she was pregnant with her first she decided to make her own baby shower cake it turned out beautifully that’s what put her in the game. She has now expanded her business by adding  cooking to her business she offers catering services and private chef services as well. Also her and her husband Jaquil Scott own a building that they plan on renting out or events such as private parties, photo shoots, pop up shops, dinners and more. Dominique’s advice to anyone looking to start a business was Do it and before you do you should know that your biggest supporters won’t really be your friends or family. Powerful words from a powerful woman. She stated that the biggest thing she’s had to overcome as a business owner was not being supported by family not being believed in my her own. Motived by not wanting to make somebody else rich when she can make herself rich and inspired by her children and husband she has done everything she has set out to do so far. Proven all those who doubted in the beginning wrong driven by their non belief she’s on her way to the top. Her current goal being to open up a store front for her business @thecrabjawn by New Years 2021. Her long term goal being to own a whole block and create generational wealth for her family. The people she’d like to shed light on an shout out for helping her get where she is today her husband Jaquil Scott & brother Dion Givens. Make sure y’all are on the look out for all the things she has coming in the future I know I will be.

A little bit about Tiffany Hall a 26 year old entrepreneur with 3 children who has inspired her to be all that she can. Tiffany is a new entrepreneur but not ignorant to the game. Only being in business 7 months she has already attended 10plus pop up shops and has now thrown one of her own. I asked Tiffany what made her become a entrepreneur she told me it was something she has always planned to do so when the pandemic first his an she could not return to work she needed a way to get the bills paid. One day she made a post on Facebook asking if people would support they said yes she took the leap of faith  purchased some merchandise and sold out instantly everything was up from there. So her advice for someone looking to start a business. Do it you’ll never know if something works if you don’t try it out. I completely agree some wise words from a very wise woman. From class valedictorian to an article in news weekly she’s over come many of things. The biggest in her new venture as a business Owner late shipments with the pandemic going on mail isn’t coming on time so customers sometimes get their packages later than expected. Something that motivates her besides her children is the thought of the outcome of expanding her business. Her goal is too open up a store or studio for her business @Fashionjammiez. Her long term goal is to open up a chain of stores that she can one day pass down to her children. The people she’d like to shout out today and shed light on  her best friend Ashly Marshall & her father James Hall who has been there for her every step of her life good or bad.

They would also like to give a special should put to all of their vendors for supporting them and coming out to net work. The event was is a terrific location it’s generated a lot of outsiders driving or walking by seeing the decorations and vendors set up out side I think these 2 women should be happy with how their first event turned out I know I was happy for them because when you take that leap you never know but if you don’t take that leap you’ll constantly think of what could have been.
